Story Inn is the most beautiful, intimate venue you could ask for. The entire town of Story, Indiana is included in this venue–this means when you rent out the entire town! There is the cutest general store and a restaurant that always has live music. In addition to the traditional “inn”, there are also 8 houses on the property for your bridal party and family to stay at! Needless to say, I hope to be coming back again soon!
The venue was the great, but Chase + Jesse were the true highlight of the day! Both of their lives revolve around cycling, so it was fitting they found each other through their strongest passion. Chase worked at a local bike store that Jesse started to frequent way too often to be considered normal. After many visits, he finally asked her to join him for a ride. This was his way of asking her on a date but Chase was not 100% sure that’s what his intention was. She quickly figured it out, and a majority of their dates revolved around rides.
The party started from the moment these two arrived. When I went to the pick up the guys for photos, they were still playing beer pong and putting them. Although it was not what I expected to find, it made for great photos! Everything went seamlessly from there, but the entire day was one big adventure. After doing the first look close to the inn, we ventured out into a large open field for a few couple shots. There was a gondola with an old, rustic bell. Jesse was insistent on going to the bell…even though we told him not to because it meant he had to “climb” from obnoxiously tall grass for quite a large distance. He had his mind set on ringing that bell and he made it happen; this also meant we had to venture all the way out to get. Even though it was itchy and hot, it was worth it because the photos were so special!
To kick off the ceremony, the bride took a shot of Woodford Reserve with her father. GOALS. I’ll definitely be steal this idea as well. One of the groomsmen officiated the ceremony making it even more personal. It was short & sweet–perfectly fitting for these two. As soon as the ceremony was done, they headed up to a hidden pergola with pints of beer and trays of cheese. What more could you ask for?
The rest of evening was just an extension of the party. Everyone was happily dancing & celebrating the newly married couple.
