Frequently Asked Questions
The sooner the better! My schedule fills up quickly, so I always suggest reserving a session date within the first 2 weeks of your anticipated due date!
Hey Caitlyn! I just found out I’m pregnant! How soon should I schedule newborn portraits?
I'm ready to schedule! What is the process?
Once you pick your session date, you will sign your contract and pay a 50% deposit to have your date reserved. The remaining investment will be due one week prior to your session date.
My due date came & went and baby is not here. Can we shift our session date?
Absolutely! Let me know once your little one arrives & I’ll send you my availability.
Help! What do people wear?
Outfits can be extremely simple for mom and dad. I suggest sticking to neutrals (white, tan, jeans). You can have multiple outfits or swaddles for your baby, but I always suggest having a simple white outfit to start out with! View detailed recommendations for all family members here!
How do I prep my home for a newborn session?
Pick 2-3 rooms that have the best natural light and clear them of anything you would not love to be in the background of your images. Most people choose the nursery and master bedroom. View my full Newborn Session prep guide here!
I'm not set on a home session. Do you have studio options?
Of course! I have access to Aspiring Eden Studios in downtown Indianapolis where we can still capture lifestyle newborn photos for your family! If you don't know if a studio session is for you, you can find out here!
