Sometimes, life calls for a big shift. I don’t know why, but in the midst of studying for multiple exams, prepping for a wedding in Indianapolis, IN, + trying to run a business, I decided it was time to make a change.
I’m trying out a new editing stye + I think I’m in love! As a photographer, I love having the ability to grow and constantly practice my artistic ability because there is no “right way” to do it! These look totally different than some of my favorite sessions– Brady | 9 months – Azra + Brice | Noblesville Lifestyle Engagement – Wesley | 5 months — but I’m all for trying new things!
Before, my style had always been light + airy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely beautiful and I have loved being able to shoot most of those images straight out of camera! But, I felt that all of my artistic ability ended after the shot was taken. Most of my mentoring was focused around post processing + I began to miss it.
I’ve only been in this business officially for a year now, so I still have plenty of time to narrow down exactly what I want my style to be. For now, I would love to hear your thoughts! You all are the reason I’m able to do what I love, so your opinion means the most to me!
