Talk about a dream newborn session! Little Scarlett and her family were the sweetest delight! I love photographing newborn sessions in the family’s home to capture what the family’s life was truly like at that moment in time, and I could not have asked for a more beautiful background! The entire house was filled with neutrals and diffused light through window shears…aka a photographer’s dream. I will likely be asking Kara for decorating advice when it comes time to decorate my nursery years down the road.

In addition to their beautiful home, they also followed my Portrait Session Style Guide *perfectly*! Parents, grandparents, and little Scarlett were perfectly dressed in neutrals to match any background or any combination of family groupings. Needless to say, Kara & Aaron made my job easy!

They were also the sweetest couple and completely adore their new bundle of joy! One of my favorite moments during their newborn session was watching each of them love little Scarlett and swoon over how beautiful and perfect she was. Kara was nervous initially because Scarlett was crying and fussy upon me arriving. Although she had a rough start, Scarlett calmed beautifully and fell asleep halfway through the session. Again, making my job extremely easy!
