Almost two years later, and we are back at Ritchey Woods in Fishers, Indiana for a Maternity session! Kaila and John met me here when they were pregnant with little Wesley, and now he is about to be a big brother! Wesley has always been an animated little and he brought out his full personality this evening! Keeping him in one spot was a challenge, but also so much fun! That is why I love working with kiddos–you never know what your session is going to be like.

I am looking forward to meeting the new little one! Kaila actually surprised John with a pregnancy announcement during their family photos last fall! It was the sweetest experience. They wrote notes on white boards and showed each other to lighten the mood at the beginning of the session. After saying “write something you want to tell the other person”, Kaila wrote “We are having Baby #2” while John wrote “you have something in your teeth.” Needless to say, John was thoroughly shocked, but even more excited!

I am so grateful they have asked me to capture every part of this journey. I have loved every minute of seeing their little family grow.
