Holy cow. This was the coolest session of my life at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. In order to get this first photo, we climbed up three floors, into the rafters, across the colosseum on the runway, and through a small door to get the roof. And the best part, that was simply the beginning of the adventure. We wanted to get to the top to get the full effect, but we could not tell if there were stairs. After walking halfway around the roof, we realized the only way up was to walk straight up the incline and hope for the best.
I am so glad we did. It was the most beautiful site. You could view the entire the fairgrounds to the right and the beautiful Indianapolis skyline to the left. The session started off strong and kept getting more fun as we went. I had not been to the fairgrounds for a few years, so I photographed them along the whole tour and it was BEAUTIFUL.
Now I know your probably thinking, why the fairgrounds? Well that is where they met, where they fell in love, and where they still work today. It has become their whole life. And the best part? Haley did not even intend to work there. It started off as an internship referred by a friend because she did not know what to do. Now she is managing the entire state fair and working side by side with her fiancé. It is a reminder everything happens for a reason. Life is full of surprises!
